I fear dehumanizing people by
categorizing them into religious, ethnic, and racial groups.
I fear devaluing humans by connecting them with radical fringes, criminal actions, and misunderstood mannerisms.
I fear protecting borders at the risk of turning away those in need.
I fear repeating mistakes of the past.
I fear living as though everything is okay because I am not directly affected.
I fear seeing more differences than similarities.
I fear heading down a dangerous path of self-protection by making others the enemies.
I fear what I see, and continue to love.
I fear not loving enough to make things right again.
