When asked to describe myself, I would say I am a mom, blogger, speaker and author, who longs to see people so consumed by the Father’s love that they pour out onto others, set free to walk out their unique destinies. Through love and prayer I encourage others to recognize their identities as children of a loving God. As both a mom who has raised children and a spiritual mother to many, I am privileged to see these things accomplished.
I enjoy mothering, praying, cooking, writing, drinking coffee, being with family, hosting people in my home, walking my dog, gardening, photographing life, and bird-watching. I find beauty and value in the everyday and God’s love manifested in the little moments. While I am blessed to speak to groups of people, my heart is to love the individual, helping each person step into his destiny in Christ.
I have authored Who’s Sitting on Your Nest?: The Virtues of Stay-at-Home-Motherhood and and e-book, Good God: An Introduction to the God You’ve Never Heard About. I blog at denisemarottalopes.com and am a freelance writer for the Cecil Whig and Explore Cecil magazine. My husband, Joe, and I are parents to two grown children, a Golden Retriever, and one cat.
